Feeding question: HELP!

I just found my missing corn snake and he's doubled in size how do I know how big of a mouse to feed him now. Do I weigh him and see or just look at the size of the mouse and compare it to him. I need HELP!

Do you know the weight or can u find out using a kitchen scale (in grams.)? Just remember u can feed up to 1.5 x its girth at the biggest part of its body (usually around the mid-section).

I'd start with something about the same size in diameter as the snake at the widest part, or even slightly smaller, and then work back up. He needs to settle back in after being captured! How long was he gone for?

3 mos or so. I got the newer one around the 23 of august and a week or two before that he went missing.

So is my daughter and I've reinforced the tank. 2 clips need 2 more and 3 heavy rocks on top. So hopefully we won't lose him again. My daughter came running out of the garage saying: I found Kaa! And I looked and his head was sticking out of a moving blanket.

Yup! Just snapped it. When we lost him he was about a ft and a 1/2 long and now he's over 2 1/2 feet long. Thank goodness for florida lizards. Here he is when we first got him.

Nope! No biting or aggression. Still mellow, moving around more but that's it.

That's great, I was wondering the same thing (wilder snake after living in the wild). I posted in your other thread about my escaped Burmese that developed a taste for kittys :( .. He was a little "shifty" when we got him back..
