feeding question

I have had my corn for a couple of months. She is quite active and very docile. I never had a problem feeding her until this past sunday. The thing is that I bought another corn about 2 weeks ago. I ended up puting my first corn in a bigger tank since she is getting bigger but now she won't eat. I tried Sunday and nothing, I even had my husband crack the fuzzy head and nothing. We tried a new on last night and nothing. Any ideas on what I should do? I don't think she is sick. She poops great, drinks her water, and is active. Could she just be not hungry? It has been 9 days now since she has eaten.
Sorry so long, but I so appreciate any response or ideas.
Thank You

Don't apologise, it's what the forum is here for. Can I check firstly, the snakes aren't housed together or anything, you just moved your older one into a larger vivarium?

Next: How old is the corn that won't eat? And are you offering food of adequate size?

You might not realise just how long they can go without food and with no ill effects. 9 days is certainly nothing to worry about, but of course it does depend on the size of the snake.

If your snake refuses to eat it could be because she's blue (preparing to shed), sick or because she just doesn't fancy it! Corns are very forgiving pets and rarely get sick though, and you've already said there are no other signs of illness so I'm sure she's fine. My guess would be that she's blue - when did she last shed, do you know?

One last thing, don't repeatedly offer food every night; the theory is that you can 'condition' them to turn it away. Wait a few days to a week before offering again. And don't worry!! :) She sounds absolutely fine. Maybe it's just taking longer than usual for her to settle in her new home.

thanks tracee
She just shed last week. I will wait to feed her again. She is about 8inches and feeding on fuzzies. I would say she is 5 months old.

Two things come to mind about your situation.
1. Your snake just needs a little more time to get accustomed and settled in to the new viv (like Tracee said above).
2. The larger viv may be cooler than the previous viv, so the brumating instinct has clicked on for your snake. Maybe it's active, looking for a good place to rest for awhile and drinking to stock up fluids for the rest period.
--Hope this helps.
