Ive had my corn snake for 3 days now. I fed it today for the first time. fuzzies, because thas what the lady said to at the store. my qustion is, How many times can you feed it in one week? i know they can go up to a week with out eating, but is it possible to feed them 2-3 times a week, or would that be harmful to the snake? im just curious.

Feed every 5-7 days if under a year and if over a year every 7-10. Feedings too close toether don't allow the snake to fully digest and can cause regurgitation which can be deadly. Also feeding 2-3 times a week will cause obesity also not a good thing:)

^^^exactly^^^^

If it is already on fuzzies, I would pick a day of the week and feed it on that day. For me its Sunday for my subadults, every other Sunday for the big girls and Boys. Hatchling are a bit different. After they poo from the previous meal I will feed them. Usually every 4-5 days until they reach the fuzzy point, then I put them on the subadult schedule.

There are lots of good plans out there, the Munson plan is one. It goes by weight and can be adjusted to fit your snake. Oh and Congrats on the snake....

Err there's one thing the lady at the store didn't tell you. You're supposed to leave your snake completely alone (no feeding, no handling, don't even open the cage) for a week so he gets to settle in properly.

I would find the Munson Plan and feed according to it. You will need to go out and buy a gram scale though.
