I swear the intention was only to pick up a new, bigger tank for Fuzzy. But then I realized, if I got a bigger tank for Fuzzy, then I'd have a small tank that was empty, and that's just wrong.

So, here's #2 in what is sure to be a much larger habit over time --

Meet "Noodle"

The pics aren't great, cuz (s)he's not happy with me, and juggling a ticked off worm that is on the attack while I'm trying to get a good picture was more than I could do :)

Such a cute little hateling! Looks a bit like my Attitude but this one's reds are brighter. Nice!

I believe just a normal, but we'll see. I bought because (s)he's definitely a looker regardless, and is very feisty....Noodle is no more a people person than I am LOL

what a perfectly patterned snake  I dont think I would be able to resist either.

Congrats!

Very cute! :) I totally know what you mean about the extra tank, since that's how I ended up with one of mine... and yes, the addiction is severe for most of us - LOL.

You're a herper after my own heart!! NO tank should be empty.
Your Noodle is cutie, if not yet a sweetie. :sidestep:

I hear you all on the addiction and no tank should be empty. I currently have not one but two small critter keepers that are sitting empty!! It is sooo killing me!!!

@ Feuerhak nice little nasty worm!!!

Well, Noodle had an eventful first day. Shat, shed, bit me ....twice, and regurged :( I always knew the second child was the problem child but sheesh, that's a full day. He seems fine, cruising the tank, checking things out, exploring, and going swimming. Temps are good etc., so hoping he's just uber-stressed with the big move, and the re-gurge was a fluke. Regardless, ordered the Nutribac, and starting the re-gurge protocol.

I absolutely don't want to diminish the seriousness of the re-gurge, but damn, it really is cute when a 14g snake thinks it can eat my hand :)

Wow! What a day Noodle had. I suspect that Noodle just overdid it. And yeah, there is something adorable about hatelings trying to eat a finger. We are not alone, there are several baby-eating-human-pinkie threads with pictures.

The regurge could also have come from the fact that he ate while in shed. Many keepers do not feed their snakes while in shed for just that reason because some snakes will regurge if fed while in shed.

Glad to hear he still has his hateling spunk, and doing the NutriBac and regurge protocol should get him back on track in no time.

I really love the name you gave him, it is so cute!!!! Make sure we get to have lots of pics of the little guy, ok!!

Asbit, I'd considered that too, and definietly not ruling it out. But thinkin - hoping - that it's as simple as that, or the combination of everything else that he's been through the last 48 hours.

On an up note, he was up cruising around checking stuff out and his tongue was going 100mph this morning, so taking that as a good sign.

...And count on LOTS of pics, he's def a pretty little worm. Fuzzy should be shedding in the next day or two too, so there'll be a new batch of him too.

UPDATE - Noodle is now 2 days-post-second-feeding-post-re-gurge and is kickin some butt :) He's back up to the 14g he was when I brought him home, VERY active, definitely seems to enjoy cruising his tank and checking the lid to see if there's any way to escape that wasn't there before LOL Other than being a little butthead and not knowing he's only 14g, thinkin we're doing well :)
