Feeding Two Pinks?

My Corn is only 2 months old but it seems a little thin for its size. I was wondering should I offer two pinks to it or just keep it on one and if so how should i do it? should i lay the 2 pinks in the cage (prekilled) or should i dangle one, let her eat, and then dangle another? Shes about as big around in the middle a little less than a dime.

If her middle's a little less than a dime, then you could probably feed two small pinks. She'd probably not take the second one if the first filled her up, at least that's the reaction I get from mine that don't want seconds when it's been offered. If she's eating f/t or prekilled, then I'd just lay them both in the feeding container/cage and let her have at 'em.

I usually judge it by how much they're looking for food after I've fed, and how quickly they're out and around looking for food later. Once they're still actively looking for food right after I fed (i.e. I put them back in the viv and they don't head for the hider cave, but continue to search the viv), or they are out in the viv in one or two days actively looking for food, I'd increase the amount to two. Once the same thing happens after two, I move up in food size.

After they've had a few meals, you can offer them two pinkies or a fuzzy. I usually wait until about the 10th meal to double up or offer a fuzzy but that's just me. I know of some people who make the 6th meal a fuzzy and never look back! They are capable of taking larger food than we might think but the 1.5x the girth is allways a good rule to aim for. :)

You're right Jason, it does. I think it sounds more like a yearling. I didn't think anybody had hatchlings in April. Dime diameter would be big enough for a fuzzy.

How old?

The reptile store i bought her from said she was about 2 months old but she is about 15-16 inches and she ate 2 pinks today no problem. It left a decent size but not a huge bulge in her stomache. I wish i really knew how old she was is there any way i can tell>

Not really. But don't put too much into what pet stores/pet store employees tell you. My guess is that it is a late 2003 hatchling.
