if they are in opaque stage, I just leave them be, because mine just lay around anyway, they look like they need the rest, so I dont' bother them, mine just shedded two days ago, so I fed her yesterday, she took the two pinkies like nothing.
Mine will typically eat when in shed, and I have fed them while in shed in the past. My main reason for posting this question is that I just wanted to know if it was at all detrimental to the snake. From the responses I am assuming that it is OK as long as the snake will take take the food offered.
occasionly they'll refuse (it's happened perhaps, 4-5 times) but ussually they'll eat anytime. They ussually just take a little longer to grab the food if they're blue. I fed one of my 6 month'rs the other day and she shed about 20 mins later, so you never know, always worth a try.
