if they are in opaque stage, I just leave them be, because mine just lay around anyway, they look like they need the rest, so I dont' bother them, mine just shedded two days ago, so I fed her yesterday, she took the two pinkies like nothing.

mine will not eat while in shed. One did eat while the eyes where still blue but that only happened one time.
Mine will typically eat when in shed, and I have fed them while in shed in the past. My main reason for posting this question is that I just wanted to know if it was at all detrimental to the snake. From the responses I am assuming that it is OK as long as the snake will take take the food offered.

No, it's not harmful to your snake. I suppose some won't but I have never had one not eat while "blue".
I tend to think it's the way, I start my hatchlings. But then again, I have some snakes I didn't have as youngins.

I feed mine when blue
occasionly they'll refuse (it's happened perhaps, 4-5 times) but ussually they'll eat anytime. They ussually just take a little longer to grab the food if they're blue. I fed one of my 6 month'rs the other day and she shed about 20 mins later, so you never know, always worth a try.
