I tried to feed my cornsnake on Sunday, but he wouldn't eat.So I just didnt know what to think. But then on Tuesday he shedded. So I wanted to know if that was normal for him not to eat or is something wrong.

Thank you
Dillo

I read here that some don't eat during the shed process. Both of mine have eat through the shed process. Some do and some don't. Sounds like your is normal .Try to feed now. You should be OK.

It's a phase when most corns are quite secretive, don't want to be disturbed and have little interest in food. Though as mentioned, this doesn't bother some in the slightest.

In future, don't not feed your snake when you know he's 'blue'; sometimes he'll refuse food and sometimes he won't. Nothing to worry about in any case.

I usually offer the food regardless of whether a snake is in shed or not. Sometimes they go for it, other times not. With the ones I've had a long time I kind of know whether they'll eat or not from what they've done in the past. Most of mine will eat whether or not they're in the blue, and some seem to always end up shedding and then pooping on their discarded skin.

I fed Blaze yesterday. and today he's in the blue. he had a large meal as well, i just started him on fuzzies, yesterday was his second fuzzy in two weeks. i hope it doesnt cause a problem. he's growing fast. he's about 6 months old and looks to be around 20".
the last time he went into shed, he ate. i wasnt aware he was in shed, just like this time, his eyes didnt cloud over until the day after he ate. a couple days after he ate, he shed just fine.

my other snake, my garter 'Diablo', he wont eat when he's in shed. he usually will skip a week's meals until he sheds. but will eat soon after.

my snow always eats no matter what..she's a pig...my okeetee eats sometimes when shedding...but i always offer the food though
