Feeling sorry for my girl

Stygian Faerie

Raaaawr!
My Amel should be laying any day now and I'm feeling so sorry for her. She's HUGE and just so restless. In the laying box, out the laying box, in the laying box, out the box, a few laps of the viv, in the box, out the box... She had her pre-lay shed a week ago and I'm just dying for her to lay, mainly so she can have a well deserved rest. Anyone else start to feel sorry for their girls coming up to laying time?

I just went through this with one of ours, she happens to be the most loved one in the collection as her "real" owner is our 6 yr old daughter. Luckily we had a good rain storm last night and she let em go, 15 in under 5 hours! It had been 8 weeks since she had been with a male prior to her pre-lay shed then around 15 days since she shed! She was holding onto them a long time and was extremely restless.

She should lay anytime now! When my girl was expecting last year she did the same thing. Then one day she disappeared into her lay box. I didn't check on her for like a week an there was nice clutch of eggs.:)

I think she's teasing me. Normally she spends a day doing laps of her viv then spends the night in her laying box and I wake up to pretty eggs in the morning... Apparently that's not how it's happening this year! Maybe you guys can send a nice big rain storm Scotland bound for me? :p
