Feeling worried

i got my baby corn out as usual today, but the only thing i did differently was put on anti bacterial gel. i let it dry before i got him out though, and when i got him out he usually calms down pretty quickly but instead he wouldnt settle, i held him for about 5 minutes but he just didnt really seem to settle, so i put him back in his viv and for the past half an hour/forty five minutes he's been moving around a lot, and i dont know if i have a reason to be worried or? :/

Some of those anti-bac gels have a fragrance in them. I personally do not like the way they smell at all. Slinky does not like nail polish either so I don't wear it anymore. You may have smelled like a stranger and all the baby wants to do is get far, far away. I figure that snakes have heightened responses due to their intense awareness of all smells they encounter.

Don't worry, activity hardly ever is a sign of something bad going on, unless the activity is caused by too high temperatures. Maybe she is wondering about the smell of the gel and trying to find out what it is or where it came from. Or she is just still excited because you did not hold her until she calmed down.
