Few questions..

I got a proportional thermostat which works great on maintaining temperatures, however, it won't get the temperature that I actually need as the thermostat doesn't allow it to go that high. I'm assuming no, but I was wondering if there's anyway to change the max temperature on the thermostat? It isn't one that you can digitally program, it has a dial and the highest it allows my UTH to get to is 92.3 degrees. No higher. I didn't see anywhere listed (on the website, or reviews) that the max temperature was that, but it seems like it is.

The UTH is already attached to the bottom of the tank (outside) so it can't really get much closer unless it goes inside the tank, and I don't really want to do that.

Note, this is not regarding temperatures for a corn snake. It's regarding temperatures for a Kenyan Sand Boa.

If there's no way to change this, which thermostats will allow the UTH to get to around 95-100 degrees?

The reason I ask is, I see most care sheets for KSB state between 90-95 degrees as well as some breeders. If that's the case, the thermostat will be alright. However, I've talked to a few other KSB breeders who state they keep theirs around 100 degrees, and they see the animals doing better at that temperature, mostly regarding feeding.

If anyone could give any input on what temperatures they keep their KSB at, or information on the thermostat would be appreciated. It's a few questions rolled into one post, forgive the length.

I have a friend that breeds KSBs and keeps his animals at 90*...I know that's not much help, but it's the best I can do. What does the UTH go to without the stat?

Highest I caught it was around 114-116 degrees when I was doing some testing before shutting it off. And any little bit of info helps! =)
