 and my wonderful baby Slither, 1 year old anery corn. I've had him about 3 weeks now & am so loving him. He's the most darling, enchanting little dude I've ever seen. I answered an ad on Craiglist & got him, his furnished home, heaters, a bit of extra bedding, & food for 3 weeks...:eek1:apparently longer as he decided to shed again! I have to admit that I've had some anxious moments considering I've never had a snake before. I have a general knowledge about them, but obviously need to fine tune it. I still worry about him, but not as much as in the beginning. My husband & I had been discussing getting one for a while. Even my mother is quite smitten w/my newest baby & can't wait to hold him. I'm truly surprised at how calm he is.
;) Oh yeah, I'm from RI, have 2 daughters, 2 dogs, 1 cat, too many hermies (4 Species) to count accurately, tropical fish, 8 Poison Dart Frogs (4 D. Auratus & 4 P. Bicolor, & now my baby snake. He's eating pinkies for a couple more meals & then I'll graduate him to fuzzies. I truly never dreamed that I'd be the proud mama of a snake. As you can see from the list above, I have quite the "mini zoo" going on in my home. Naturally, I also have crickets & fruit flies to feed my frogs. No one told me that I'd have them as pets!
I'm really looking forward to talking to other snake lovers as most people just don't get where I'm coming from. It'll be refreshing to communicate w/other people who don't laugh at my gushing over my newest baby.

Hello and welcome!
That's a good zoo, you're now with like-minded people. Some people on here have large menageries, some small, but we're all animal lovers.
Got my snakey off of Craig's also.

Yay more New Englanders!! We're finally growing! :):)

Sounds like quite the little zoo you have- I think you'll fit in perfectly fine here!

Welcome!

:wavey: Thanks for the warm welcome y'all. I've lived in RI pretty much all my life, except the 2 yrs. spent in NC. Oh man, Tonya, that's all I don't need is to see all the precious babies. Husband will absolutely go off the deep end. lol
I have to say that it does feel nice to be amongst like-minded people.
