This clutch of mine is so, blegh. First I think that nothing will hatch, then I get pippies. However, instead of taking the "standard" 4-day hatching time, I had pippies for 16 DAYS! The last one just hatched Saturday, and I have to start feeding the first 16 this weekend, because they've all shed now. Out of the 33 eggs laid, 6 eggs didn't make it, and I got 10 Normal, 11 Amel, 2 Anery, and 4 Snow hatchlings. Of the first 16 that have shed, I have 8 male and 8 female. The average hatchling weight is about 6.4 grams, not to mention I have about a dozen that hatched with their yolk stems. I also have a couple in this clutch that are kinked, but they are sooooooo pretty. :( Oh well, this year is just one surprize after another, so maybe they'll all surprize me by eating, LOL.

Finally, is right! Well, I'm glad they finally came out. Sorry to hear about the kinks...but what a big clutch. We want pictures!

Unfortunately, my camera is currently broken, so there won't be any pictures for a little while. I've now 11 confirmed males, and 11 females. The last five should shed by week's end, so everyone will be fed next week, but only the first 16 this week. Can't wait for the anerys to shed. It'll be great to see how nice they turn out. hehehehe......

Sounds like a nice bunch of hatchlings. Boy, they sure did take their own sweet time, huh?! We'll be looking forward to pictures after you get that camera fixed :)

Hopefully, they will be good little eaters for you. Let us know how it goes.

6 out of 10 ate yesterday, so I hope that's a sign of good things to come. I'm participating in Connie's experiment and haven't gotten the nutribac in yet, so the other 6 have to wait until tomorrow or tuesday. it was kinda funny because none of the snakes that were sceduled to eat live were interested in the food.

Well this year has definately given me a run for my money and I have officialy lost my first hatchling. The little girl was a beautiful snow, and, as of 2 days ago looked perfectly healthy. However, I went to give fresh water to the snakes yesterday, and I found the snow completely dehydrated. I don't know if there was more I could have done or not, but it really bums me out that I lost one of the snakes so quickly. That makes 6 eggs and 1 hatchling dead from a clutch of 33 laid eggs. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come..........

awwww im sorry:(

I hope everyone else feeds and does super!! PLEASE keep us updated!!!! NICE clutch..wonderful variety!!!!! Have you decided on keeping any?

I am not going to be able to keep any this year, and my mom has staked a claim to one of the amels and my dad has taken one of the two anerys. That leaves me with 3 snows, 1 anery, 10 amels, and 10 normals to sell. 1 of the snows and 1 of the other anery are tentively held for another person, who I need to get in contact with. I should be certified to ship by the time the snakes are ready to be shipped. I think I'll also publish my website tonight and just update it in a few days when I can get pics of the babies. At least that much will be done...........

Well, they may not all be eating, but I'll take 16 out of 21 eating their first meals any day! I am so happy that this clutch is eating so well. Also, for those of you who may be interested in buying a snake from me, I have just sent my test box off to FedEx to work on getting certified, so I should be able to ship in a couple of weeks. E-mail me if you think you might want to get something, that way I'll be sure to get your questions/orders. E-mail addys that you can reach me at are [email protected] and [email protected] (I check hotmail most often). Hopefully all things go well this year. YAY!! :crazy02:
