First eggs eva! How long to take mom out?

She started laying last night about 8:00 p.m. I've tried not to bug her too many times but I'm really excited. I've checked on her 3-4 times and the visible egg count is about 10. How many hours should I give her to make sure she is done laying before I remove her from the nest box and take the box out of her bin?

I'd say after now, she's probably done. But if you can still see bulges in her, especially around her vent, leave her alone for just a bit longer.

Dusty, I already had the female caramel het amel/stripe before I got the male butter het stripe from you. After that I picked up a female ghost stripe. I bred the butter to both. These eggs are from the ghost stripe female so I hope to prove the butter for het stripe.

Should be some really cool F2's with all those hets! The caramel shed about a week after the ghost so I'm hoping for the second batch of eggs by this coming weekend. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a butter stripe! I'll let you know how it comes out so you'll know if the male was het stripe or not.

Sounds good.
