First experience with Shedding

Ok so I'm kinda new to caring for snakes...I've owned other reptiles and never had to worry about shed's but I'm nervous since this is my first snake and all...here's a pic of him

MVC-001F.jpg

Now his eyes are turning blue and I'm expecting him to shed, I was just wondering if there is anything I could do to help him through this or should I just leave him be?

Make sure his cage is humid enough, also you want to make sure there is something in his cage to help him rub it off. Sometimes they get aggitated easliy during shedding. Good Luck! John

- If you're not sure about humidity, you can mist inside the vivarium to be safe.

Make sure he has plenty of places to hide, and don't try to coax him out unless you have to; most like to stay hidden during the shedding process.

What type he is? And good luck, I'm sure he'll be fine.

Hope this helps a little,
To make sure there's enough moisture for him to have a sucessful shed create a moist hide for him.. put some damp sphagnum moss in a plastic container with a lid (example, an empty butter container) and cut a small opening for your snake.
