Ok, so I got my ghost corn on saturday, and today is going to be feeding #1 (the pet store fed them on tuesdays, but i want to get it to where I can feed him on sunday evenings, so im bumping it up slow). ive got the pinkies, im about to head to the pet store to buy a thermometer (going for more cage clamps anyways)
anyway, i was told to heat the pinkies in hot water, but how hot? should i all but cook it in the water? (not boiling by any means, just as hot as it comes out of the tap) and with that, i was told tap water will harm the snakes if not treated, do i need to treat it before i dunk the mouse in there?
next question: How long is it until i can handle him again? I saw that the lump is supposed to disappear 12-24 hours after feeding, so can i handle then? for some reason, 2 days is sticking in my mind..... i may have read that, but im not sure.
and im a newbie, I have read about this entire forum (however quickly) but im sure im missing stuff still, anything u can add that i may find useful would be... um... useful thanks
