No one forgets that first love... you know- the very first corn snake you own! Mine is Cortez, I got him as an adult when I was 11 years old. Man I love this guy. Anyone else have any "first loves?"

WOW, Allison! Cortez is a beautiful, big boy!

My "first love" was a wild caught normal. I sold him and the rest of my collection because of what I thought was love. :p

Thanks Rich! I would love to see a corn in the wild... to bad he/she is gone. At least you have 5 to make up for it now. :crazy02:

My first I got either just before, or maybe just after joining this site. He was a couple of years old then even though.. I got him from our own Moreptiles here on the site. Here's a couple of pictures of Holden, one in perfect flattering indoor lighting and one outside... He's a great big goofy snake. And perfect corn attitude, never ever reared back his head at me or hissed.

Yep! I think that's just right.. I doubt he's anywhere near the size of your guy there, he's about 550 grams.. Do you know how much yours weighs?

My first love was actually first loves. While I was in high school I had and environmental class and we always took in rescued reptiles till we could find homes for them. I was in charge of the rescuing. A girl gave us two corn snake one day, an Amel and a Snow. At that point I wasn't interested in owning a snake because I wasn't able to kill a mouse, so I found a home for them. That person brought them back and I felt bad for them never having a stable home and eventually feel in love with them and brought them home.

Here is a picture of Peaches and Cream.

Our first love is also a Snow Corn!! :D We just got her, so she is also our only snake.
We originially named her Takara but decided we didn't like the name so much. Sooo, we changed her name to Aiko, which means "beloved one" or "little love" in Japanese :)

Your first love is very gorgeous!

"Peaches and Cream" I LOVE it! They totally remind me of that, they are beautiful together. Good job giving them a good home.

Awesome! I just saw you in the Welcome Forum. Your first love is fantastic as well!

Cortez is beautiful! You got him at the same age I got my first love... Granted, he's not a corn, but he's a reptile nonetheless! My first corny love... Santi, a wacky little amel. I've only had him for about three months (dang, seems like a lot longer than that...), but I've been waiting for the past eight years. And it's all his fault that I'm now addicted to corns. Haha. Again, Cortez is beautiful, as are Peaches and Cream, and Holden.

Thanks Laura! Is your "first reptile love" Ziggy the Iguana?
Ah, the snake addiction. What could be better? :)
