First new addition this year

Around Here Somewhere....
It has actually been quite a while since I bought a new snake which is good for me!
But last weekend I went to a show here in town and came home with this little treasure from Kathy Love. I needed to get a male Reverse Okeetee to go with my female in a few years since Joe sold his male Okeetee het amel. I saw this guy on Kathy's website and just had to get him.

This is Tucson - '07 male Reverse Okeetee:

If he is big enough next year he will be paired with my girl Tempe (if not - we will just wait another year!). Most recent photo of her:

How long is a "while?" Anyways, he is lovely. He looks what I imagine to be the perfect RO. Nice, thick and complete white borders and brightly colored. Great pick up!

Pairing...

Hey Arpeggio, is a Tempe an 07' to? Looks like they will be a perfect match!

Normals first gen and then 2nd gen reverse okes! Yay! Any of them have hets?

You'll have to show us progression pics of them later on. I love the colorings on the reverse okes. They are on my "wish list" as well as a lavender, snow, or miami phase.

I haven't purchased a new snake since the last show last year which was in September or October. I think that is the longest I have gone since I got into snakes without a purchase!!

And I love your names
Thank you! Tempe was my first Okeetee and I just thought a "bright" name was perfect for her. I also have Phoenix and Sedona - my Abbott's Okeetees!

Reminds me of Mike's Orion.
You should be seeing pics of Orion pretty soon too. I am taking care of her for Mike on a temporary basis.

is a Tempe an 07' to
Tempe is an '06. I got her from Carol Huddleston although she was produced by Don Soderberg at South Mountain Reptiles.

Actually - since they are both RO's (selectively bred Amels) I should be able to get RO's in the first generation. No known hets for either of them.

Do all your snakes have AZ names? That would be fun to do but I would have picked a better state. Sorry, I just can't stand AZ. You should get a snow and name it Snowflake...I'm also partial to Winslow or AJ (the name not the city).

LOL - no - just my Okeetees. When I was thinking of bright red colors and names the Arizona towns just jumped out as good choices for me.

I try to keep my "groups" of snakes with similar names. I have a Beatles themed group, a Led Zeppelin themed group, a "weather phenomenon" themed group, a childrens songs themed group etc..etc..etc...
