first post brumation meal should be smaller?

My big guy has been sleeping all winter and refusing all food offerings. I expect that he will eat either this month or next month if he behaves like he did last year. I plan to start him off with a small adult mouse, double it at the next feeding 10 days later, and then either continue with double smalls or medium adults. Does this make sense as a post brumation regimen?

oh, i forgot to say, he's 274g, so can definitely handle something the size of adult mouse or even two if they are small.
