First Shed concerns! Snow corn!

PinkiePie

Hey there all. First off, thanks for the ton of info / help for when I got Pinkie about 2 months ago (a little less, IIRC).

I'm back again because I think Pinkie Pie is going to shed. Over this past week, she's been hiding almost always when she's usually out-and-about. I checked on her today, because I feed her on Saturdays and she hadn't been acting normal. She ate fine. There's no regurge and she had normal feces and everything.

Well, she was cranky. I figured she may try to bite so I left her alone and cleaned her waters to make sure she would have both for drinking and to help in her shed.

I've heard Snow's look kinda like strawberry milk when they shed, so I am about 80% sure she will have her first shed (she seemed overdue and I've been expecting it).

My main concern is of course, her shed going well. I live in a very humid area... we average 80-100% humidity, so I think she will be fine. I don't use her heat lamp (just an UTH).

Should I attempt to feed her this Saturday if I'm wrong or let her alone?

Thanks for the advice and help all :)

I have two snow strips. And snows are harder to tell when they go into ""blue"". i myself would say yes but of course some will way so. But it really up to you. You know your snake. And don't be scare of the ""bite". If the snake does......you wouldn't really know it. 90% fake.

Um... thanks? I didn't say anything about being scared of the bite. I was referring to the fact that she may and I was concerned it was a sign as I hear some snakes are a little crankier towards shed (understandably).

I still want to know if I should attempt to feed her tomorrow? I don't want to thaw a mice and waste it.

She moved from one hide to another earlier and looked fine, so I may have been wrong.

However, I'm extremely concerned she hasn't shed yet. I don't believe her to be that old at all, but not a baby either.

No I would hold off on food for now. Wait till after she sheds even if you are wrong you will know in the next few days. Snows can be difficult to tell when they are getting ready to shed. I normally know by how in active they are.
