Dont know for sure if it is sneezing but to me that is what it sounds like. It has done it more than 5 times in the last few minutes I have had her out. I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to herps and know this is a common indicator of a respiratory infection. There does not appear to be any kind of mucus near her nostrils nor is she gaping.

What could have made her start sneezing like this? Her temps are all right on, she is fed according to the Munson snake feeding schedule. Her last measurement was 23in long and she is approx 25g. She has never had a problem with shedding or eating. As a matter of fact she is eating right next to me right now.

Please help I am really worried about her.

Still "sneezing"?
What is the warm side temp? Do you have an adjustment(thermostat/rheostat) on your heater?
Eating is a good sign.

I would up your warm side temps to 88-90 degrees and make a vet appointment. The gaping mouth and mucus don't appear until they are pretty sick and by that time antibiotics can be too late:( I hope your snake is better soon!!

That is exactly where my warm temps are during the day right now. Should I make the warm side that hot at night too? If so I have everything so I can set it up asap.

I forgot to ask. Is there a specific medicine that vets prescribe for this type of thing. I would really like to do some research real quick before I take her to my father in law who is a vet.
