First successful feeding!!

:crazy02:Hooray!! I've had my little candy cane corn A.J. for four days now, and today was the very first day I fed her--in fact the first time I've ever fed a snake in my life!! I was nervous at first, but I very gently picked her up and put her in her deli cup inside her cage and put a thawed pinky mouse in there with her. I then quietly left the room for 45 min while I fed my dog and fish, praying the whole time that she would eat. When I came back, the pinky was gone! And A.J. had a bulge in her stomach! What a good day!

Congrats it is a really nice feeling when our snakes had the first meal I know I was happy when my first corn had his first feeding. ;)

It's a great feeling! I'm gonna be glad if these non-feeders I'm working with ever decide it might be a good idea to eat!

It's so much fun!! With my girl, I left her alone for the first several times... but nowadays she just wolfs it down right in front of me. Ha! She's not as shy anymore ;)

I agree with JennaJ, it's super interesting to watch, and super cute to see them struggle with a dead mouse when you start feeding with tongs (if you do decide to later on). Hopefully you'll get to see her eat after you've had her for a bit, when she's less shy. =]
