First time attending reptile show

Well I went to my first ever reptile show today (Taylor, MI). Let me first tell you what I had before going to the show: 8 corn snakes, 2 toads, 3 cats, 2 dogs. Now lets see what I have now: 12 corns, 2 toads, 2 bearded dragons, 500 crickets, 3 cats (tomorrow getting the 4th) and 2 dogs. I got two sandfire dragons, and the 4 corns (Pewter, Blizzard, Bloodred het pewter, and Charcoal het Blizzard) today. The wife was not happy, OH WELL!

Man you are my idol, I wish my wife would let me do something crazy/cool like that. We are still at two snakes my corn and her royal python. One day...hahah.

This is why I must never go to Daytona. I'd come home with a pair of Hondos, a Bloodred corn, one or more KSBs, MBKs, probably some cool Calis, who knows what else. At the store where I buy mice, I just pretend it's a zoo and they aren't for sale.

Can't wait to see pics! Congratulations!!

I hear ya' there. It's to the point where I walk into one of the local pet shops that sells herps, and they automatically go to the snake cages. I have to prevent myself from holding anything for quite awhile...

Back on topic...Where are the pictures? Congratulations on your new friends, but, really...this topic is torturous without pictures...

The trick to going and not buying is to leave all your cash and credit cards at home. Even though I tried to swap hubby or one of the kids for a snake I "had" to have, the vendor simply didn't want to trade. And hubby wouldn't let me trade the car...

I think I might try going to that show in Orlando in a couple weeks, because I need some bigger hides and branches and I think there might be a nice selection there.

I am planning on getting to the taylor show next month (weather permitting), to get my first corn.
I am all set up and ready for the arrival, of what I hope is the first of many( at least a few)corn snakes. I am hoping to find an okatee, but that may change as we look around I am sure.

I got 4 this past weekend from Dave (DanD on this forum). He said he is always at the Taylor show so I might get some more from him next month too.

I just picked up an okeetee at the Grand Rapids show. Not sure where your located but that show is the second sunday of every month.

I just managed to convince my BF that we can fit another tank in our small apartment (with a little wining, and guilt) if we get a shelf :). I am hoping to get a yearling bloodred at the Manona Wi show in April, I'll have to put some money away....just in case...;)
