Hi everyone, I'm Melinda, and this saturday or sunday, I will be coming home with a baby corn snake. I've wanted a snake for about three years, and have been researching them tons. I'm a first time owner, so I want to know all that I need and more, so that my baby corn will be happy and healthy. I actually come onto this site a lot and read lots of posts, but since I'm getting my own corn soon, I thought that I might as well join! I originally wanted a ball python, but soon figured out that they can be a LOT of work. Maybe sometime in the future, but for now, I'm with corns. I wanted a snake, and got 2 other of my friends to want snakes too. The love of snakes is contaigeous! Now my friend has a snow, and my other friend and I will be getting our snakes (like I said) this weekend. We're both super excited and can't wait! She already picked one out. A striped creamicicle. If it's a boy she's naming it Quantum if it's a girl, Que. I don't know which kind I'll get yet, there are lavenders, hypo/normal oketees, (sp?) albino/normal bloodreds, creamicicles, jungles, albinos, normals, and butters. I personally want them all, but I'd be happy with any of them! Although I think I'm leaning towards the lavender. Well, I'm sorry this is so long, I'm just so excited! I'll tell you guys which one I got later. If you actually took the time to read all this, thanks for putting up with me, I know there are a lot of newb around. :)

yea i took the time to read this and i still consider myself a newb. even though i currently have 8 snakes and have had a few in the past. congratulations on getting a snake and welcome

Hey thanks guys! :) I ended up getting the only butter there, and I named it Quain, which is french for clever and/or quick. It's for a boy or girl, because I haven't sexed it yet. Corina got her striped creamsicle, and is deciding between various names. Her account is Quantum. :) More updates later, thanks again for the welcomes guys, bye!
