Our little "Morukoshi" (short for corn in Japanese, my wife named him) was quickly out growing his planted tank.

He really loved it and my wife made me feel bad for moving him.

I made his new viv out of prepainted plywood. This was the only color they had, but I think it come out better then I thought. At first he was digging up all the potted plants since we was so use to burrowing in his old viv. I then added the 2 bowls of his dirt substrate, one on cool side and the other on the warm side. Now he leaves the plants alone and loves to burrow in one of those instead.

I still have a few more plants to pot and add to his viv.

Beautiful! I was wondering how sharp the edges of the plywood is, it looks a little jagged and was wondering if you could sand them down.

How do you have it held upright?

The edges are sanded, but you're right I think it could use a little more work. The shelves are removable so it should be a easy job.

Here's a pic of the whole viv. Still needs a lot of work. We live in an earthquake zone so I have a little extra on the bottom to for safety. The front is 2 mm acrylic and it slides out from the top. For easy maintenance I just prop it up with the 2x4 I have under the viv.
