First Vet Visit

I'm going to be making an appointment soon for Paprikás to see the Vet. She/he is fine, I just figured a well pet type of visit is in order. I am wondering if there is anything specific I should be aware of during my snakes visit. Are there any questions that definitely should be asked? I am planning on asking about sexing, and about general health, but I'm drawing a blank on anything else....Plus this is a new Vet for me, as my regular one doesn't do Exotics, so is there anything I should be looking at, as far as the doctor is concerned, as well.
Help lol!

Most of us don't bring our animals in on a regular basis as they usually do fine without it. There aren't any vaccines that need to be updated or any treatments that need renewal with an animal being present. I'd suggest bringing in a fecal sample if you can to be screened. As long as your snake is eating regularly and has good muscle tone you shouldn't worry. Research symptoms of common sickness and keep your eye out for them.

I was also wondering about the fecal sample, since snakes don't poop all that often, will a dry sample a few days old still be acceptable.

A fresh sample is preferred, get one when you see it and get it over to the vet immediately even if it isn't the day of the visit. They can still test it if you and the snake aren't there.

Just a quick update...
The vet visit went fine. Paprikás is in fact a male. I had a feeling that was the case, since as soon as nicer weather started he has been very jumpy and active....and actually made advances towards one of my dogs rope toys.
So I'm happy now knowing he is healthy...and he is pissed because a nice car ride ended up with him getting a probe in his delicates.
