flexwatt?

So....I need to make so racks, but i'm having a bit of a dillema. The wiring of flexxwatt itself seems straight forward enough, but i'm somewhat confused about thermostats. It must be really obvious once you have the thermosts in front of you, because I can't seem to find anything that details exactly how to include one in your setup. I don't understand how it controls the output of the heat tape to maintain temperatures either. What is it that i'm just missing? Thanks!

With the ones (thermostats) I use there is a sensor that relays the temp to the thermostat. When the pre-selected temp is achieved the thermostat will turn off the power. When the temp goes down the sensor will read this and the power will be turned back on until the temp rises again.

Hmm...okay. But when wiring the heat tape, how does the thermostat control turning the heat tape on and off? And howwould I going about setting up more than one sydtem to be controlled by one thermosta, or is that even possible with lower end devices?

Also, does anyone has suggestions when it comes to a good brand of reasonably priced thermostats?

The thermostat is plugged into the wall outlet and then the flexwatt is plugged into the thermostat.

Most thermostats, even the fairly cheap ones, will allow you to plag in more than one group of heating elements, in order to control more than one rack, however both racks would be have to be set to the same temperature.

I use a Big Apple BAH-500 Thermostat. It does it's job, especial for the price (less than $30), but next time I will buy a better quality device (AKA more expensive), like a Helix model.
