Freeze. Thaw. Refreeze

So I know you are not supposed to refreeze but I accidentally left out like $30 in snake food. The mice are all still in the package and have not been open. I feel really dumb about leaving them out. Should I refreeze them? Like I said they were in my room and were in a bag, and they were in the package un-touched.

If they thawed at all, toss them. Unfortunately they are not good once they've thawed and are refrozen. If it was just a few minutes and they were still frozen solid then it shouldn't be a problem, but when in doubt, throw it out. Words to live by.

That sucks.

How warm did they get? I've kept mice in the fridge overnight, after thawing, and the snakes regurged them. I'd NEVER do that again.

I wouldn't use them. If the whole bag thawed, then they were out for a while. You don't want to make your snakes sick. And while I admit to the occasional "refreeze n feed" it's a very rare occasion and I've never had an issue. But the whole bag thawed and refrozen? That would be a lot of feedings and a higher risk. I wouldn't do it.
