Frequent shedding?

So Princess shed once on time when I got her, but then shed again two weeks after that, and now she'd shedding AGAIN approximately three weeks after that! I did overfeed her so I'm not too worried - she sprung up like a weed after the overfeed, so I'm thinking this is just her adjusting to the rapid growth. I'll keep an eye on her future shed patterns and may rethink my position if she continues to shed so frequently, however.

My question to you: Has anyone else had experience with more-frequent-than-normal shedding, and what was the reason/outcome/any problems?

I only know that in Leopard geckos it is often a sign of thyroid dysfunction, but I would suspect most likely it is part because of your over feeding..

Hmm her previous shed wasn't very good, and her shed this time wasn't much better even though the humidity is at around 40% in her viv and she has a moss hide on top of that - I wonder if the previous shed had something to do with the most recent shed not going so well, and coming more quickly?

I know after her shed before this one there were still a few flakes of skin left - I tried to get them off the best I could, but after I got the tail tip and eye caps off I figured she would be ok after the next shed. Maybe those small pieces of rough skin that stuck to her caused her to shed again more quickly, and also made her next shed a bit rougher?

I think I did better this time, and got all of it (as far as I can tell). We'll have to wait and see what the next shed holds. I also believe I'll be bathing her, either directly in water, or indirectly in a tupperware container with a wet towel, next time she turns blue - hopefully that will help.

It could be that the other shed was delayed and thus this one came faster... If so she should fall into once a month approx soon enough <3
