These guys just hatched this evening and it looks like I have a nice diverse group.

Congrats to you!!! Amazing little ones!

BTW, I'm in AZ too.. Mesa to be exact. Where are you located and do you have a store front? Just curious because someone else on here PM'd me and asked if I knew any breeders in AZ.

Anyway, KUDOS and congrats!

Thanks, I'm in Phoenix, but don't have a store front. It's just a hobby of mine. I do know a few other breeders in the valley but not many that only do corns. Feel free to drop me an email or a call if you would ever like to talk snakes.

Parents

Thanks, Mom is Amel Striped Het Snow PH Butter and dad may be one of two males.

Male #1 is Amel Striped Het Snow PH Butter
Male #2 is Ultramel Het Motley and Caramel

She was paired with male #1 once but then I had second thoughts about it and paired her with Male #2.

From the looks of the clutch, they may have each fathered a couple judging by the 1 snow and the 2 ultramels that have hatched so far. The Amels are a toss up LOL

Isn't that one an Ultramel Anery and not a Snow? At least I don't see a snow in the pics. So I'd say male #2 is the father. Furthermore if the male #1 would've been father all his babies woul've been amel stripeds or snow stripeds. I see neither...

Beautiful babies! Congrats! :)

Correction (my bad)

Thanks Marinneli,
My bad, I posted the wrong info on the 1st male. it should read Amel het stripe and snow, I accidently gave the moms info twice. But you may still be right though. As far as I knew the #2 male does not carry any Anery, so I just assumed snow, but you never know LOL (nice surprise if he does carry anery).

I will have to recheck them in the morning, I just took a few quick pics as soon as the left the shell and left them alone The color in the pics may be a bit off cause he looks very pink to me and does not show any faint bands at all. I will post a pic after he sheds.

Nice clutch! And I agree that it looks like the ultramel is the father as I too see an ultramel anery and not a snow! Just look at the eyes, as that is enough to tell the difference!

Thanks Marinneli,

As the mother is a poss. het. butter and the father is het. for caramel and obviously seems to be het for anery too, then maybe - if you're lucky - you've got an Ultracaramelaner (ultramel+anery+caramel) there! ;)

Congrats!!!

Eyes

Thanks Susan, I will need to take another loook at the eyes, I have not seen any of the blue iris and ruby pupils on this guy yet. But hopefully he is an ultramel Anery or even better yet like Marinneli said an ultracarmelanery :bird::dancer:

Im not a math whiz but with only 10 eggs what are the chances that I could snag one? I think it's something like a 1.562 % chance of that combo appearing in a normal sized clutch. Especially since the butter was only PH on mom and the anery was not known about with dad. LOL

I will post some pictures in a few days when I can take a better look at him.

Thanks again
Joe
