Thanks everyone! I will let Christine know that you all enjoyed this installment. LOL! ;)

Lol! I love Frilled Dragons! I've read they take a long time to tame, (fight or flight), how is his temperament?

Fortunately, he was fairly tame when we got him. He also enjoys being hand fed. He will get a little bold and want to go out and explore, but for the most part, he is pretty tame.

Hi everyone :) I know I don't get on here as much as I should... I try and update frillie every month or so. That way you can also see how much he is growing and how his color is coming in. He doesn't do too much but sit on his log. It would be boring with an every week update. I do want to put him in this huge outdoor enclosure we got at a wicked deal at NERDS. Unfortunately it's winter now and I don't think he would like it very much. I can't wait for this summer.

I love Frillie's World!!! So much!!!

I know you do Nancy :) wouldn't it be cool to get a little Millie and have lil Frillie/Millie babies :) Yes, I would try and hand feed them and yes I would also try and get them use to mushy veggies so they could have more things to eat. Some eat veggies but not Frillie. He is the pickiest dragon I've ever seen. We bought silk worms, wax worms, meal worm and he gives me such a look of how dare you woman!!! I was thinking of butters but feel it would be another waist of monies. I've even tried to cut up the worms but they make a mess and again he gives me the look. He only like the little 1/2 in crickets. I think cause they are tender crunchy. and he only eats phoenix worms... the pinkies are in good number here but unfortunately they are way high in fat and the phoenix worms are already high in fat. I get worried about that too much calcium bone deficiency issue thing. You should see him when he wants to eat. Frillie is right next to the computer. Wayne laughs cause he'll come out of his house and perch himself against his log and just stair at me. You know the look a dog gives when they lay their head on your lap? That's what frillie does while looking out of the glass with his elbow up on his log like " ok mum when are you going to feed me" He won't budge either till I do LOL!! It's a stare down thing.

It's a real hard issue too with the frills cause there isn't much info on the web. That's why I made ~Here be Dragons~ so I can observe frillie and jot it down. I have to add to the site that frills can open their hoods without opening their mouth. Frillie does it all the time. He is also getting older so he blows air through his nostrils. When he first did it Wayne and I thought there was a hot air balloon outside LOL.. A lot of people say to compare their diet and enclosure like a bearded dragon but either Frillie is just the odd ball or the beardie thing for the frill isn't that good of a comparison.

Hehe I will have more pics soon...

When we got frillie he was already about 6 months old. There is a small pet store over by the Dr. Wayne was going to every week for his wrist. We pretty much watched Frillie since the day they got him. On my profile I have Frillies pictures I've been posting. There is one when we first got him and how small he was. Even the pet store didn't know much about them and I blame them for his phoenix addiction. That's all he was fed.

Though he looked a little undernourished in the store, I had to have him as this was the first I have ever seen and I also knew I could bring him around. So when I brought him home I started to hand feed him and he quickly grew. All who have seen the Frillie updates I'm sure can see how his size and color have improved. He is a male "I think" and is maturing so he is getting bold. He lets me know when he wants to come out and when he doesn't want to be bothered. I can't leave the lid off for a second cause out he'll come and OH BOY he doesn't like cats. Instead of flee he will chase them hood up and everything. LOL.. His new thing is that he can hear the pinkie squeak. He will come right at me if I don't trick him first ;) I don't want chisel teeth in me LOL.. bad enough Demon my MBK got me.. But when frillie wants to be nice he is a sweetie.

So I guess I know as much as the next person who knows what a frilled dragon is. I may have a little more cause I get to own one :nyah: LOL.. I sure would love a Millie though ((((Wayne))) ;) We did get to seen another frillie at the Portland ME show. I was so tempted to get "her" I think as she was all charcoal looking while frillie is turning reds and yellows. She was older then frillie too. I think frillie is a male??? I could be wrong? That's what I've read, that the males have color. I don't think frillie is an Aussie? They say not to pop or prob so other than DNA I'm not sure really at the moment

If I had Millie everyone could have a hand fed Frillie ***raise of hands now***

Thanks again to all who commented on him

HAS ANYONE SEEN that new Geico commercial?????? Actually, frillies do make those sounds .. I'm sure this commercial will give the frillies some rep.

That's pretty cool! I've seen them a lot when I lived in Cali and Ohio at pet stores, but they were older and didn't want anything to do with being picked up. The pet store here has a really young one, about the size of the baby Beardies you see everywhere, that didn't mind me holding it, so wondered if they grew out of that as they get older. I guess the trick is hand feeding them like the Tokay Geckos to keep them docile, lol... I had a small animal harness which was actually a thin lead that forms an 8 with a little piece of plastic for my Water Dragon when I took him outside for walks. I bet he'd like that, lol...

You should get it. Everyone I've spoke to who has them say they have very strong personalities and are naturally curious. Juveniles may be slightly shy at first, but they warm up to their humans quickly. They are very docile and can be one of the most rewarding and personable of all reptile companions. I very much agree as I've grown very attached to Frillie. I also wonder if I can put a iggy harness on him and teach him to sit on me while I walk around. Maybe he could come to the next show :) The only reason why I haven't tried it yet is they are very sensitive to change. Even moving Frillies furniture around he is in a depressed mod for a few days till he gets use to his surroundings. I wonder what he's going to do when we get him out of his 45 gallon baby tank and put him in his adult cage next summer. It's 6ft high and 3ft deep. Yes he will be spoiled with lots of climbing trees and even his own personal pool that can stay in his cage :) I'll be sure to post pics of that. But first wayne has to get better so he can put it all together "hint hint HUN!"

It's been down in the basement in pieces LOL.
