peek-a-boo!
Well, back in April Wayne and I brought home a little frilled dragon that we've been watching in a small family pet store for about six months. At that time Wayne was going back and forth each week to the Orthopedist "which he still is going" but each time we went we would stop at the store afterward to gork at the little frillie. After the six months of watching, Frillie Panny Piper came home. Some of you might remember me posting him here. He is a hand fed baby and wouldn't eat unless I held him.

Sorry if I posted this here. Thought photo's where photo's but Wayne-O is always lecturing me:poke: where would I move this?

Thanks everyone. I can't believe how fast he's growing. Time for a new viv soon. I want to build him his own room LOL.. <3 my dragon:dancer:

Oh I LOVE him! I didn't know frilled lizards were in the pet trade here in the United States. I've never seen one in person, but boy do I love those National Geographic videos of them chasin' the camera. They're feisty!

Is he pretty friendly? Does he bite or constantly try to run away? I'm highly interested, I love lizards. :] Cute photos too!

I never saw one either in the stores only on breeders site far away lol.. Oh oh did you ever see the peanut butter jelly one? My kids love it. He's pretty friendly. Most info I've looked up on them say they become like dogs. So far he seams that way but I would look into a breeder which are far and few. Lucky this guy was already tame. They can run real fast and when he gets going he does bicycle up for speed lol.

I've only seen a few of them... but they didn't look as good as yours does!

Hand fed? Has he grown out of that yet or is it something you would like to continue?

Man, I really LOVE your dragon! He's amazing!

Thanks :) He's still pretty friendly. He knows when it''s feeding time LOL. I would love to find a female. The problem is they grow a little smaller then a water dragon but need pretty much the same enclosure. 5ft high 3ft deep would be ok as an adult but bigger and taller is better for climbing. Finding room for such a cage is hard then the female would need one too. They only come together "what I've read" for mating. I think that's why there are not a lot of breeders for them because of their enclosure.
So far Sundial has the best info and pics on them and her Irwin is suppose to be one of the brightest captive bred around but looking at Frillies color coming in ... Hmmm lol who knows??.. I think Irwin too is half red Australian. Frillie I belive? is just a New Guinea. I like the water dragons too but they have rot issues, On that Youtube link if you search frilled dragon more video's come up and you can see many tame friendly guys..

Here is also Sundials page. She is no longer breeding which is a bummer.

"Frillie is not afraid of snakes or vacuum cleaners though ;)"

I have Frillies website in my sigg "Here be Dragons" if anyone cares to take a peek :)

~Thanks everyone and Frillie thanks ya too ;)

Oooo! More photos! Thanks!

And awesome site! I'd been searching for info on frillies and besides one forum, I found very little so kudos for doing so much work to put it together.

Im very interested in getting one although I doubt I can get till after college. Darn.

I posted a thread asking for photos a few weeks ago and I believe it was you that had posted some. Or maybe it was medusacoils... Hence my excitement for "more photos"

Soo cool. I remember seeing pictures in books as a child, and I thought they were like little dinosaurs. Yours is very nice, that's so great you hand feed him. Does he ever fan out, or is that just a mating display, warning, etc...?

He only Frills up when he gets scared. He hasn't done it in a while. I think the last time he did it, was when the cat peeked in on him.

Just in case you didn't know, Christine (MedusaCorns) is my wife. So I will, on a very rare occasion, will post for her.
