• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been "documenting" all my snakes with photos for the American Cornsnake Registry (what a great job Serp and Connie are doing, and what a great asset to all of us!). Some of my snakes were so squirmy and uncooperative that I recruited my husband to help. He's not as "nutts" about them as I am, but he didn't mind experimenting with his new digital camera. Just thought I'd share a few of our shots.

First one is my female bloodred, Blaze (thin from laying a clutch).
Second one is my male "odd" (i.e., unknown hypo) ghost male, Shaman.
Third one is a male Miami-phase (het hypo), Daytona.
Fourth one is an '04 female motley I raised from two of my breeders, Monterey.
Fifth one is my female hypo blood (still thin from laying a clutch).

Oops, forgot to identify that last one -- an '04 female hypo snow.

One of the neatest things about the registry, I think, is that we can actually check out all the snakes that someone submits for registering. For instance, if anyone sees any of my posts and wants to know what kind of snakes I have, they can go to the registry -- at http://cornguide.com/ACR/home.php -- and search under breeder ID (my number is 77). That will bring up a page with all 40+ registered snakes in my collection (will be a bunch more, after my 8 clutches hatch and I select the "keepers").

By browsing the registry, you can really see the countless variations in color of various morphs, which is very educational. Of course, the only problem with being able to see everyone elses' snakes is that, while I've browsed the registry, I've seen a bunch that I WANT!
