Thanks to all the peoples who gave me these Ideas! the biggest trouble I had was with the thickness of the plexy glass. (recommend 1/4 thickness) otherwise your going to waste money and have extra glass laying around then you know what your going to do with... yea..

Haha, I just learned that too. I had a drawing and parts list for a great double viv, so I went to the parts store. When I picked up the .100 plexi, it was obvious I would have to go thicker, which they didn't sell in a good size. So I put the four things back from the cart and headed home to check the web.

1/4 inch is thick enough for a lid, in your opinion? They had .200, which felt pretty good.

yea I had to go back after the thin stuff cracked when I tried to put the latch in, and when I tightened the screws down for the hinge, it suddinly cracked in half, wasent my best moment, and now I have two extra sets of plexi that arent good for Anything.. annoying as heck.

what I did, was I measured the top and had them cut it at the store, it works good, you dont have any shaveings to deal with, and the people, as confused as they can get, do try to help you.
