Frosting...?

I was just looking up frosted snows lately and I was wondering where this "frosting" thing came from? Is it just selective breeding to get this look or does an animal just pop out witht he faded saddles in the middle and you call it frosted?

I'm just curious
Thanks
Kristy:)

Both....and more!

Some people line breed it, some just pop up, and some are corn x grey rat hybrids, so it is important to ask the breeder which one of the above applies to thier stock. :)
