Fuzzies, pinkies sold out !?

I've checked all local pet shops and on line shops, but everywhere is sold out. Right now I'm raiding all the self help stores for what ever stock they have left, and paying almost 3x the price. The pet shop I usually go to said that the only other option is to cut up a hopper (which they have a bunch of)..how could I do that? Cut it length wise? Or any other feeding options?

Yes, you can cut larger mice to make smaller meals out of them. No need to go longways, you can cut it in half or thirds, cutting the head off then cutting the rest in half.

Make sure you are cutting it while still frozen, or you will have a huge mess on your hands!

Is there any place in Japan that sells in bulk?

Cutting in thirds sounds like a good idea. Pretty sure feeding is going to be a big mess.

I was wondering why the local shop sells in bulk. Going to buy that the next time they are in stock. Is there a breeding season for feeders?

Yup, if you can't get a small enough feeder, you can cut up a bigger one.

Mice & rats can & do breed year round. However, many breeders will have decreased production during the winter and/or summer due to the temps being less than ideal, and if the temps get too far out of ideal I think they will stop producing entirely. But in a building with heat & a/c, production should be fairly consistent year round.
