Gecko Advice

So I already have 2 corn snakes, and I have had them both for almost a year now. I am thinking of getting a Leopard Gecko and was wondering what advice some of you may have. This will be my first time owning one so I'm wondering in what ways they differ from caring for corns other than the fact the Geckos eat insects. Thanks in advance!

I have 2 leopard geckos and I love them. They are my only non snake reptiles and I find them almost as easy. They do eat more than the snakes which can be tough if I get busy with life.

I have 2 females living in a 24x24 enclosure. I use tile as a substrate to avoid impaction. Plus it's easy to clean. Leopard geckos with use the bathroom in one corner which makes clean up a breeze. For heating I use a radiant heat panel. I had a heating pad but it couldn't heat well enough through the tile. I don't think it was big enough. Anyway the heat panel does a great job. I have a large flat rock right under it that absorbs heat and I will find them stretched out on it sleeping.

Leopard geckos don't need lighting. Both of mine are albino types so lighting can hurt their eyes. They are nocturnal so I see them out as soon as the sun goes down. They line up at the front of the cage wanting dinner. It's pretty cute.

Aw that's adorable :) thank you for the information, what type of food do you feed yours?

Also are there many different morphs for the Geckos like there are for corns?

Heads up, Geckos are often carrier of crypto, esp the pet store variety..

I have two geckos as well, they are kept away from my corns, and I clean them always AFTER the corn snakes. I do not know if gecko crypto can affect corns, but I am paranoid even though I have two very healthy specimen. When doing research on crypto it showed that lizards often have it.

Leopard geckos have something called crypto tail Ive seen it a lot in pet stores..

Thank you I will definitely keep that in mind, I do not want to purchase one from a pet store but not really sure where breeders might be.

I feed mine dubia Roaches that I keep myself. I HATE crickets and won't let them in my house. Sometimes the geckos get mealworms.

One of my geckos came from a family that didn't want her anymore. My other came from a breeder. Leos come in soooo many colors. Took me forever to decide what I wanted:

This is Sprocket, She's the one who came from a family,

I don't have a picture of Doozer. Doozer hates to be held but seems alright otherwise. She's a blizzard and looks just like this:

You have breeders on fauna classfieds..
You can buy them just like you buy a corn and they are most likely way healthier than the store ones.

Google leopard gecko morphs and start studying, I feed meal worms, wax worms, cricks and roaches. I have a ten gallon for my female and one for my male. They live for about 20-30 years. They did a cancer surgery on a 20+ leopard a few years back.

Both mine are super cuddly, esp the female, but you can get wilder ones as well that will hiss and scream lol Mine are discarded breeder geckos, got them from a friend.

One of mine is very sweet. The blizzard is the devil. She screams, hisses, bites, all sorts of fun things if you pick her up. She is getting better and will let me pet her now. Someone told me that blizzards are known for their bad attitude. No idea if it's true.
