Ghosts/specters

I purchased an awesome male specter a while back ago and could not find a female specter. An aquaintance of mine who breeds lizards aqquired a female ghost in a trade and sold her to me for a song. I fattened them up and paired them up...68 days later my first pip. out 20 eggs

It will be neat to see how they color up. With the Specter line producing unusual looking ghosts that's a fun project, keep us posted on how the babies do :)

....

The sire is an awesome example of a specter is, his coral/pink color is amazing but doesnt photograph well. The breeder who sold him to me said his offspring is even more brightly colored thats why he let the male go. The female I used is a decent example of a striped ghost...most of the hatchlings have the same marking as their father on the heads....there are 11 out of the egg so far with 2 eggs not pipping yet, the rest have little heads an eyes poking out.....I will post some pictures of the parents when I can...there were no oddballs in the clutch they all look the same.

thanks to you kevin

Thanks again....As you can see he is doing well. Hope all is well on your end...as a seller our transaction was FLAWLESS, I highly recomend doing buisness with you and look foward to doing so again...

Coming along

15 out of 19 have made it to their third feeding 1 refuses to eat(the lightest one), and 2 have died. 7 out of the clutch are really light in comparison to the rest, and some have fused saddles/ abberant markings like the sire. The ones that have eaten regularly are growing fast.

Very neat, the specter line is sure pretty. Good luck and please keep everyone updated on these kids :)

Sorry to hear you lost a few, but glad the rest are doing well! Looking forward to pics.
I think I have one of last years daughter's to your male.

Did you sex them yet? Maybe the lighter ones are males.
I don't rememebr, but have specters been tested against sunkissed already? The head marking reminds me of markings I related to het sunkissed.

Sexes

I have males and females separated somewhat. Im trying to decide which ones I am keeping and which are being sold.
There are 3, I am unsure of sex. I have light males and females..unless I mades mistakes sexing..we will find out.
I had to force feed the lightest one so it would have a chance...the rest of them are way bigger then her. It was neat to hold her against the light and see the pinky head go down. The entire clutch took regular live pinks their first meal & f/t for their 2nd meals. With no problemss what so ever, except for the non feeder, she is so small she needs pinky heads. They all eat otherwise and have had 3 feedings. They hatched August 13th.
