Going blue!

SNAFU

Release the Kraken!
I was about to feed my little corn, "Bubba" last night & noticed how faded his colors looked & sure enough, his eyes were blue. Last time he shed I totally missed it but maybe I can catch him in the act today. The pics were from last night about 10:30.
He did suck down 2 pinks after a few minutes of hesitation in the feeding bin & then dove right out of sight into the cypress back in the enclosure.

He won't shed until after his colors return to normal. Mine shed exactly 2 days after she came out of blue. And she was quick! the bf turned off the power to change a few elctrical outlets and when he turned it back on the shed was there and she was slipping her tail out of the last of it.

Yep, I've been trying to watch but I haven't seen him out all day today. Maybe by Monday he'll be shed & back to his vibrant colors again.

I almost cought one of mine shedding. I heard some papery rustle and looked over, but the snake just had gotten all the way out before I could watch. I think my normals have the most color change before to after a shed, even if little or big.

The one time I actually saw one of my snakes shed, I was in the process of feeding my amel. He had cleared up a few days before, and I figured I'd offer him food anyway. He got finished eating and started rubbing his face all over the feeding tub, and I thought he was resetting his jaw and wiping off the mouse juice. Then I noticed the little nose cap flipped up, and he proceeded to use my fingers to help him shed. I had to help him get the skin around his mouse bump, it was pretty fascinating to watch.
