Old and Getting Older
I've mentioned before that Ruby will slink back to her viv after feeding. This time I managed to snap her on my phone. Also pic of her first ever defined constrict. She's made half-arsed attempts in the past but this time it was a total lunge and coil - brilliant!

Regarding her return to the viv, she's started to do it whenever she's out for a roam around my desk, something she does daily while I'm working. The other day the unbelievable happened: Rubes was wandering around my keyboard and I slid back the glass door to her viv. At the sound of the glass sliding, Rubes stopped - looked toward the door - and changed direction, heading for home. She then scaled the 4" to the door runners and then disappeared into her cool hide.

Am I blessed with the perfect snake or what?

Mine likes to play mind games with me. He's real active all night trying to escape. Slithering up and down the walls trying to nose the lid off, all that. Then I walk over there and open it to let him out, and he goes into his hide and doesn't come back out. So after a while, I close the lid. Almost immediately he comes out and starts scaling the walls again.
