Good books recomendations for snakes

Hi

So, this is my list of books that i'll be reading before getting my beautiful Rumpelstiltskin (A snow corn snake), doing some research i've found that this books had been very helpful in the past and i want to become an expert in this animals. My question is, which of these books have you found helpful? would you make any modifications? and do you have a title that you think im missing from this list?

BTW: The reason why I covered the name was that I dont want to get in trouble with any of those stores but I can tell you that I found them in Amazon. Really good prices for these awesome books, I can also say that I save up to 97.83 dollars in this one

Thank you

I own the "Corn Snakes: Comprehensive Owner's Guide" by Kathy Love and it covers pretty much everything on basic care for corns. It also has sections about how a healthy snake should look when you buy it, common diseases and emergency attention, about breeding and about the most common morphs. For me it was really useful reading this one before getting my snake, so I have to recommend it.

Later I bought "The Art of Keeping Snakes" thinking more as general husbandry guide for other delicate species such as the Rainbow Boas or the GTP that I plan having in a future, rather than for corns. This book is more about vivariums and using live plants than about care, so I think you can skip this one for the moment; the other one covers everything in more detail.

About the others listed, I don't know. Let's see if someone has had a chance to read them.

Thank you Mishima25, i've heard that the one by Kathy Love is an awesome beginners book, but i picked other beginners guides to have different references an opinions and see which tips work with the snake i'll be getting. I hope so too lol, I kind of read some of the "Snake Diseases" by Frank Mutschmann its amazing and it do wonders for our knowledge about this beautiful creatures, kind of a heavy reading tho lol.

As soon as i get the books i'll make sure to make an ultimate book for personal records and i'll be glad to share it with you :D

Don Soderberg is working on a new book. Supposedly that's why he let go of the Palmetto project. I expect it to be quite a thick volume...I know how long-winded he can be sometimes! :)

Thank you Dragonling, i've never heard of Don Sodenberg but i've read some of the Palmetto Project and now that you mention his name i'll be definetly going to wait for that new book and do some research about him. :D

I have the corn snake books by Soderberg and Love. They are very useful and around here are considered the primary reference books for corns.

I also have, "What's Wrong With My Snake" by Rossi. It was an interesting read but not as useful because it is not corn snake specific. Of course if my snake has a problem I will consult with a local vet who specializes in snakes before I rely on a book. I got it more to get an overview of the kinds of problems snakes can have. Certainly a nice but not necessary book.

I have both Don's and Kathy's books, they're great! I also have a couple of the morph guides (that are available online now), and a couple others I cannot recall off the top of my head.

Me too!

I too have both Don's and Kathy's books. Both books are great, with many photos. I also got my snake this past Tuesday from Don at South Mountain Reptiles. (Extreme Reverse Okeetee) He knows his stuff. :)
