came home from work this morning noticed the cat was really interested in the closet. went to take a look and found my juvenile black milksnake. Must not have secured the tank after my brother visited Sunday. Cat found a snake I didn't even know escaped

Good Kitty!!

Think of all the stress you missed out on!!

I had a former (male) roommate who tells a story of waking up to find his cat staring at the closet in a psycho sort of way. When he opened the closet, there was a MAN in there, who had come in through the open patio door! A scuffle ensued, and the guy left in a beat-up condition...

I hope that my kitties would be just as brave about a snake as they would a man in my closet! So far, their experience lies with the escapee crickets for my leopard geckos and bearded dragon...one cat takes care of those in a flash, another just likes to watch (voyeurism?). :)

Now thats a good cat!!
I'm lucky he is just curious and not agressive about the snakes. One strike would probably send him running. It also helps he's declawed in the front and neutered (apt. rules).
