the last few mice my corn snake wouldn't eat (shes 5 years old ghost corn) the quite mice. .. do snakes go by noise ? im confussed on that cuz i told the ppl at the pet store the snake wouldn't go after a quite mouse.. and she said it was not common .. she said they can be picky sometimes .. but is it often told for some snakes to eat mice that squeak ..??

and how long should i keep her in the feeder container for before i take her out cuz the only way i can keep it warm is if i turn the heat on bust in my room .. ?
Shes in the feeder container now ... so how long sahould i wait to but her in her normal viv ?

Answers please ..

I can answer your first question. It has nothing to do with noise, snakes can't hear. They only feel vibrations.

I have never used a separate feeding container, so I can't help you there.

I usually wait until the lump has stopped moving - about one-third to half way down the body. At that point it's hit their stomach and won't go any further. After that mine usually get very active and start looking for a way out of the feeding tub.

As soon as the snake is able to close their jaws again is when I move them. They don't fight nearly as much (because they're still in feeding mode) when they're bothering to swallow the food still.

Iusually putmine back inas soonas they push the mous down and start slitherin around agan usually 5 min or if the feeding container is a deli.cup put it inthe cage andletit crawl outwhen itfeels likeit side note sry forthe horrible typingim on myphone
