100mm is 10cms :p

So I'm not sure exactly how big the tank is, but I'd like to just point out, remember that floor space is more important to corns than height.
And while I don't mean to lecture you, it is highly recommended that you do not keep two snakes together in the same tank.

sorry....it had to be cm ;)

i keep the 2 snakes in one tank because i bought them that way.... they both seem very attached to eachother , they sleep and drink together , always strangled in eachother...they seem to be good friends (though i don't know what sex they are) they have enoug space on the floor (100X50) and they can climb up in the branch onto a platform.

i bought the 2 snakes recently (got m about 2 months) and i'm still trying to find more info about them.
the tank they're now in is about 60X50X60.... so i guess they'll enjoy the space they get in about 2 days :)

it can't hurt the snakes if the background is made with foam?

As far as we know, snakes do not have the capacity to form friendships with other snakes. Your snakes do not "sleep" together - they both curl up in the same place because they both want the temperature and privacy represented by that one spot. I would seperate the snakes before they get much older. I've heard of people being surprised when they wake up one day and find snake eggs, having been sure that their snakes were too young to breed. :shrugs: If they're both male, they could fight. And even if they don't breed or fight, keeping them together may present stress and feeding problems.

Although some people use a heat lamp, I believe that a heat mat is preferred. The snakes' digestion will benefit from the belly heat.

Also, you say the snakes are always "strangled in each other." What do you mean by this? If the snakes are constricting each other, they are probably viewing their tankmate as food. Please consider seperating these snakes.

allright...i'll consider it.
no , they're not constricting eachother...we have 2 hiding places in the tank , and they both use the same one....laying curled up in eachother

Got to agree with the others--separate them. They are not sharing a hide and snuggling together because they like each other. They both like that hide and are competing for space within it. Do search for cohabitation on this site, and you will find plenty of discussion on the topic.

I did a little googling, and it looks like PUR-foam is safe. I don't know if your foam backdrop is painted. If it is, you'll probably need to know the paint's possible toxicity too.

I had my 2 corns together for 8 months. Never had a problem. I joined the forums and was reading on housing 2 snakes and everyone told me to separate them. That same day I was reading it my 1 snake started to chase the other all over the viva. I took him out that min and put him in another tank.
The poor guy went from a 75 gallon to a 20 gallon not sure how happy he was about that. But they are not housed together anymore.

well...i'm housing them together now and keeping an extra good eye on them...
they both have another hideout now , the brown one shelters benauth the surface and the snow climbs up the wall to the top about 10 cm from the IR light bulb in a hole in the wall.. i'll watch them closely cuz i'm a bit concerned after what i've read here.

today i did the last little things to the VIV , i mounted the lightbulb reflectors and re-wired them....cuz the former owner of the viv didn't seem to know much about electrical wiring :S its a wonder it didn't short-circuit.

You just don't get it. They're not lieing to you, they know what they're talking about but if you want to experiment with your snake's health then go ahead. Watching them closely isn't going to do jack, what happens when you sleep or are at work? How bout when you go eat or take and shower? Who knows? Bulbs aren't the best thing to use, they dry out the tank and snakes need the humidity. If they don't have it they will get skin problems.
