Hey all i was just wondering if any1 could explain to me how some have made these gravity watering systems for there mouse cages/racks ? I'm up to 2 cages now and plan to get more and don't wana have to fill all the water bottles everytime ya know. I'm just not sure how i would make the ends and stuff any help is appreciated thanks

I got mine from agselect.com Just click on small animal watering on the left hand side.
I purchase the starter kit which includes the bucket, 10 ft of flex tubing and enough fittings and valves for 3 stations. Then you can purchase as many valves and tees as you need for however many tubs you have.

Ahh so most bought there systems .... denowt how big is the bucket on that system bout a 2 gallon ? And do u know the diff in the Original Valves and the Vari-Flo valves im guessing just the speed of the flow huh

The bucket in the starter kit is a 1 gallon, but if you wanted a bigger one you could just drill a hole in one and screw the fitting onto it instead. The original valves have a set flow rate, the vari-flow are adjustable. Since there wasn't a difference in price, I bought the vari-flow just in case I ever wanted to adjust. I currently have them set at minimum flow and everything seems to be working fine.

You might send Shep151 a PM or e-mail. He installed one of these automatic watering systems with his rodents and knows all of the in's and out's. =)

I haven't had the time or money to invest in one, but refilling the 8oz bottles for each colony every other day sure is getting old. =P
