My amel just shed this last weekend. I noticed that she now has a gray, "salt and pepper" coloration to some scales on both of her sides. She also has some gray scales on the backside of a few of her saddles.
She's active and healthy, eats well, and her tank temp is 82-86 on the hot side, 70-72 on the cool side and the humitidty is 68-72%.
Is this coloration normal? I thought amels didn't show black, so how can they show grey? Is she just showing me another "newbie surprise"?
I'm trying to get a picture, but she won't hold still long enough!
Thanks,
Kevin
