Green Blotch corn snake?

Yes, before anyone says anything, I have searched the archives and such before asking about this snake type. :D

I am looking at a page right now that is offering green blotch corn snakes. There are pictures, but they are hatchlings, so I know this is not indicative of what they will look like in the future. There is currently only one green blotch corn snake in the pictures section on this board. Does anyone have any good pictures that I could see of juveniles and/or adults? Are they a variation of snow?

Here's one of my snow females

she's a green blotch. Unless I'm completely mistaken.

Thanks! I hope some other people can post pictures too! That was a great help, Gregg.

Are green blotches a variation of snow? The ones I found are 45 dollars a piece... is that a good price?

And do these breed well with any good morphs besides other green blotches or snows and have a nice outcome? (basically any non-amel morphs?)

You're Welcome.

Yes, Green Blotch corns are a variation of Snow corn.

Personally, I think $45.00 is a lot for a snow corn. Of course, it isn't if you don't mind paying that much for one. The one in the photo cost me $39.00 when she was a baby. One could agrue that that's too much. She was born in 2000.

I'm inclined to answer yes to your last question, but I think Serpwidgets would be the better person to ask.

Hmmm....
Price has a million variables. I have seen hatchling snows priced anywhere between $10-$100. When you think about the fact that you are purchasing one of the best pet snakes around and it could last you more than a decade, $45 is not bad. Don't forget, someone had to take care of (feed, clean, heat) mom and dad for a full year to produce a clutch. Sometimes a price is in indication of quality but NOT ALWAYS. You could get a perfectly healthy beautiful snow for $15. But if the green blotch has great looking parents, comes from a respected breeder, and is what you want, I think $45 is an acceptable price. I would email the breeder in question for pics of the parents (that will give you the best clue as to thier quality) and do a search on the BOI to see if there are any comments on thier business dealings. If a search shows up nothing, then you can start an inquiry.
Good Luck!

I have these posted in a lil snippet thread in the Photo gallery and someone asked me the same thing. she is a green blotched corn, but shes about to shed in these so its hard to see, I have a friend who has been breeding snakes in the pet trade for ever 20 years. hes the one who told me she was a green blotched. this one is 6 years old.. and almost 4 feet long..shes my pride n joy :) so hope seeing another picture of a diffrent one helps
