Green Snakes??

I was surfing around looking at all sorts of snakes and I like Corns, but if I ever got another snake I was really liking the bright green ones.

Are there any Kawasaki green snakes that are ideal for being pets? Something about Kawasaki or Monster Energy green gets me excited for some reason...

I've kept green snakes, smooth and keeled. They are insect eaters, with a preference for hairless caterpillars and soft bodied spiders. They don't bite, but most are extremely wiry and not great to handle. If yours don't take crickets, the winter time can be tough, though I suppose you could brumate. Personally, I'll stick to rodent eaters.

There are green rat snakes from the southwestern US that fit that bill, but I've never met a nice one.

Yeah, I was looking at Triple R corns website as they are really close to us and saw a few corns I really like as well and they are super easy and nice for the kids. The wife is teaching science next year and was thinking of keeping a snake at school. That gives me an opportunity to get another one. I'd like a boa or a python because I'd like something a little bigger. But the wife isn't ready for that yet. She is still warming up to the corn.

All the green ratsnakes I've ever encountered are pretty pissy. I've got some fairly green green tree pythons...not Kawasaki but pretty bright green. the one I have is pretty mellow too.

The hands down best green rat snake on the planet is the Rhyno rat. I hatched out a bunch last year and they are by far the sweetest hatchlings I have ever encountered. The color is off the charts amazing, running from yellow green to a turquoise blue. Danny Wynne is the snake pusher that got me absolutely hooked. Not only are they great pet snakes, they also make wonderful display animals.

Just did some googling, those rhinos are great colors. Funny noses though.

I might look into one of those one day. thanks!
