Greetings everyone! Name is Khanh (or as everyone calls me "kon") I just got into the hobby about a month or so ago with a male Amel. About a week after got myself a male creamsiclexsunglow hybrid. Then about a week or so after that I got myself 1 amel female and 1 snow female....I got addicted quite fast. I've told myself NO MORE CORN SNAKES...at least until I have some large ones i can play around with.

I have a quick question though. My 3 corns are very docile and never struck at me once yet. However, that creamsicle is a jerk. He's struck at me at least 6 or 7 times. Runs away every time I try to pick it up. He even rattles his tail when I open the cage sometimes. What is up with this little dude? He's a 1.5 months old right now. My male amel is probably a good 2 months (brought from a petshop so i dont' know exact age). And both the females are about 1 month.

Welcome to CS.com Khanh.
I'm also from SoCal, but unlike you, I just have one male Abbott (for now).
As far as you "jerk" baby, some of them act like that until they associate you with food and gentle handling. They are called "hatelings" by many here. :)
Patience will pay off in the long run.
Please post pictures of all your babies since everyone here loves to see them.

Hi Khanh :wavey: welcome to the forum!

Remember your lil guy is scared of you and reacting as if you are a big monster coming after him. Use slow, deliberate actions when picking him up and eventual he should calm down.

here's a few pics of ruby (female amel) i took before my mom came home and before feeding her. She's great although I've noticed she loves to try to escape.

i didn't take any pics of the other guys since my mom came home too early. and plus i just fed them so i gotta wake another few days before i bother them. but i will share asap

Welcome.. I might be one of the few Dr Feelgoods in So Cal.. *LOL*

Regards.. Tim of T and J
