Hi folks!

I have also purchased my first corn snake from SerpenCo this past weekend at MARS. Seems like that was a popular thing to do around here this past weekend!

First, I want to publicly thank Rich and his wife. Rich's wife, please forgive me but I don't know her name, spent a half hour helping me select the right corn snake. I wanted a corn snake that would have VERY vivid oranges and reds when matured out. She recommended "Fluorescent Orange Corn Snake". So, I ended up with a VERY nice patterned male Fluorescent Orange.

Here are a few pics of him in his new home!

Oh, a little verklempt...

Wow...York, PA. I grew-up in Dover, just outside of York, and though it was only 4.5 years of my childhood, it was such a lovely childhood that when I hear York or PA or even if someone knows of Dover, I have to sigh...:) Welcome to the forum...:)

And, congrats on your new Orangey-boy...if he was less flourescent, he'd look like my amel Maizie-boy/girl (not sure yet). :) Nice photos, too! Did you take the photos? Would you mind telling me what kind of camera was used? Thanks!

Does Orangey-boy have a name? :)

Cegninedorf,

DOVER, PA! Sure know where that is! Yeh, the York and its outlying areas are a nice place to work and raise kids.

The camera is actually wife's. It's only a Fuji 3.2 mega-pix digital camera, bought it at Wal-Mart about 3 years ago for around $200. I had it set on the "macro" function for those pics. I even shot the 2nd & 3rd pics through the glass. People get all bent on wanting/needing 6 mega-pix cameras. IMHO, its a lot of over kill on the wallet for the average joe.

His name is, "Flicker".

Traci1,
Nice website, I checked that out!

PS ~ Just incase anyone else on here is into other reptiles and amphibians, I'm into Ball Pythons, Poison Dart Frogs, Tree Frogs & Geckos!
I hang out on Ball-Python.net under the name, "BPDad".
I hang out on Denrodboard.com under then name, "DartMan".

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm sure I'll have questions as we grow along! :)
