Growth Rate

Does anyone know what the growth rate of a corn snake is? I remember hearing somewhere they can be 4 foot in 2 years!!!

I am just curious about this i have never actually seen a growth rate chart or anything for a corn.

Charlie.

There's so much variability. All depends on what/how often they eat, whether they encounter any health issues.

Four feet in two years is a little ambitious, I'd think, but probably not out of the question.

From my "Corn Snakes in Captivity" book by Don Soderberg.
Hatchlings are about 8-12 inches.
Growth is about 10-15 inches/year for the first 2 years.
Average length is 48-54inches/female-males.
Almost full grown around 6 yrs old.

And yes, there is a wide margine af variability.
